This weekend I appreciated my family more than I ever have before. Coming home for my Grandpa's funeral was made so much easier when I had countless arms to fall into.
Here is a picture of my siblings and most of my cousins.
My youngest brother, Jacob. <3
Some families cry at funerals...some build human pyramids.
My Aunt, Ty Wolf wrote this poem about my Grandfather.
May the Lord hold your hands, Papa, until I get up there to join you.
The Lord made it possible for me and my sisters to sing a song at the Memorial Service. I thought about posting a recording of it, but I decided to go with the lyrics instead. It's called I Will Rise by Chris Tomlin.
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
"The Lord replied, 'My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'"
Exodus 33:14
May you rest in Him today!
In His Arms,
<3 D
